Well hello there, guys and dolls, and welcome to the beginning of another week. Whoever says that they enjoy Mondays is either lying or crazy, and cannot be trusted. Let's face it... Mondays suck.
I am looking down the barrel of a very long week filled with 10 to 15 hour days completing an important proposal at work. And while I can always use the overtime pay, this momma-to-be gets tired pretty easily these days, so I'm hoping to find the energy to get through it somehow without collapsing underneath my desk in a ball of stress and exhaustion.
I did have a good weekend to start things off. My mom came into town on Saturday and we took a Birth and Family Education class for grandparents, which was kind of fun. And guess who sat right next to me in class? King 5's Jean Enersen... local celebrity sighting! She asked me where the drinking fountain was, and also wished me luck in my pregnancy. I am now famous by association.
We also spent some quality time with my sis in West Seattle where I picked up a breast pump and indulged in some delicious Italian food at Talarico's Pizzeria followed by amazing hand crafted ice cream... because what my baby wants, my baby gets!
And my nesting instincts were out in full effect on Sunday, when I forced Stewart to help me complete about 18 projects around the house beginning the moment he arrived home from work. Whatev, he'll totally enjoy having the garage organized now.
Anyway, I did manage to get myself moderately organized and prepared for the week ahead (laundry, food prep, etc.) but it's still going to be a long one... Wish me luck!
How is your week shaping up so far?

I'm a total ice creamaholic and I can't wait to use the "What baby wants, baby gets" scenario one day. lol. You give that baby what he wants, girl!
ReplyDeleteWHAT! You got to sit next to and give directions to Jean Enersen?? Jealous!
ReplyDeletehope your week goes fast and you get to rest this weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteOh you poor thing! haha but seriously I always turned down overtime when I was pregnant. I was just too tired and it was uncomfortable sitting at my desk. So Jean Emerson was in the class too? Crazy. I love running into local celebrities, So much nicer than real ones! haha
ReplyDeleteI hope your week flies by! I was at a training today, so I got to sleep and extra hour, come home an hour earlier, and I didn't have to deal with disrespectful 6th graders. So I'm hoping the rest of the week is good!
ReplyDeleteMy weekend went by so fast. I could hardly believe that I had to go to work today when I woke up!!
ReplyDeleteI think the baby wants me to have Italian food and ice cream, too.
ReplyDelete"because what my baby wants, my baby gets!" this made me giggle! You gotta do what you gotta do right?! Haha! I hope the busy days fly by quickly for you!
ReplyDeleteI kinda love that your nesting included the garage! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis particular Monday was especially trying for me too but you sound you got a LOT done this weekend, well done!! xo
ReplyDeletei was always of that mindset: baby wants a cheeseburger at 11pm? HUSBAND, GO GET THE BABY A CHEESEBURGER!! lol
