This time I really was on a boat.
And I'm pretty sure I might have been a mermaid in my previous life.

There's not much we like more than sun, friends, beers, boats and wakesurfing.
And our weekend camping trip to Mayfield Lake had them all, plus much much more.
I'll spare you the awkward beer bong photos, but let's just say that thing got some exercise.
Technical difficulties have postponed this blog for a few days, and I'm not feeling very creative or witty at the moment, so I think I'll just leave you with the photos (you get the general idea, right?) and call it a day.
My apologies.
I hope everyone is having a fabulous week though, Happy Hump Day!

I'm pretty sure I know some people in these pictures... Then again, I could be making that up. Where might these people be from? Does that make me creepy? Ha.
ReplyDeleteLook at you surf!!! Good job girl!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! The surfing looks so much fun! It looks like you had a great time :-)
ReplyDeleteWOW! Now those are what I call EPIC PHOTOS! That looks like such a good time.. I mean, I know it would have been so much better if I would have been there but I know things happen. I love the water, especially boats. Two of my friends that normally are on the river have been so busy-- one has a pregnant fiance and she doesn't enjoy being the only sober personal on a boat full of buzzed fools and the other has found a new love of horseback riding on the river. So now I just whale in the pool instead!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like seriously so so much fun!!! And you are so cute
ReplyDeleteI tried windsurfing a few years ago - lets just say you are WAY better than I am! ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat are you guys doing on the board? I have seen people really close behind boats, but I had no clue what they were doing. No rope?
ReplyDeleteI am so confused how this works... how do you get up? How do you stay up? Explain this to me!!
ReplyDeleteDanielle, it is so much fun!! Here is a post I wrote about it a while back (except I can't tell if the videos are working or not...darn it!) http://sarahandstewart.blogspot.com/2013/05/wakesurfing.html
DeleteBasically, you use a rope to pull yourself up and then once you're balanced on the wake (surfing on it, like in the ocean, except the boat is creating the wave so it never stops!) you throw the rope back into the boat and you just stay back there until you fall. It's so much fun and so much easier than wakeboarding! You're super close to the boat and people can even hand you beers and stuff, it's hilarious. :-)
