Calling All Mommy Bloggers

Being a parent isn't as glamorous as I once thought it would be.

It's scary, disgusting, and overwhelming. And some days I wonder why the hell I ever went and got myself knocked up in the first place.

Being a mom might be the hardest job in the world. It's thankless and exhausting, and every day presents new challenges and opportunities to learn how to be a better parent.

So some days (in lieu of showering) I sit down in my spit up-covered yoga pants and reflect on this incredible journey.

And I know I'm not alone.

Mommies, I invite you to share your wisdom!

Some of my creepier followers loyal readers may have already noticed that I added a Parenting section to my blog a while back. Here you can find links to my favorite posts about pregnancy, and subsequent life with a tiny human.

Would you be interested in contributing your stories as well?

Maintaining a blog is a huge time suck (don't I know it!) but writing, sharing, and discussing the trials and tribulations of parenthood can be incredibly therapeutic.

So here's your chance!

Pregnancy // Childbirth // Baby Issues // Being A New Mom // Relationships // Confessions

Tell me all about it.

If you're interested in writing a Parenting guest post for Life As Always, please feel free to contact me and I'd be happy to feature you.

I'm really looking forward to everything we can learn from each other.

Hey Friends, I'm Over Here!

Pssssst!
I'm over here today, guest posting for Erin at Love, Fun & Football!

I've been sponsoring Erin's adorable blog this month, and it's been such a blast. She is so sweet and talented (and she did my fab new blog design a couple months ago!) and I've just loved getting to know her.

I've actually been really inspired by Erin's debt story and her goals and strategies to becoming debt free this year, including co-hosting No-Spend January and brainstorming free stuff to do. That's actually what influenced my post for her today...
I remembered a while back when I took it upon myself to explore my own city… something so easy and simple that most of us often forget it’s an option. And it's free!

I've lived in the Emerald City for almost 10 years now, but I rarely take advantage of all the fantastic sights and activities that this beautiful place has to offer. So I'm getting back out there, wandering through the streets of Seattle in search of exciting new adventures...
Be sure to pop on over to Erin's blog today and read about my latest!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

I've really been feeling bad lately reading everyone's posts all over the place about the extreme winter weather they're experiencing. Frankly we haven't had to deal with any of that this year out here in the Pacific Northwest (knocks on wood).

However, Erin over at Love, Fun and Football (who I am sponsoring this month!) had the brilliant idea of highlighting some of the things that people DO like about the cold/winter. I love how this girl puts a positive spin on everything...

I think there are actually a lot of things to love about these cold, chilly days. For example...

Okay, maybe not that last one. But Stew does enjoy a little creativity when it comes to winter facial hair. I think it helps keep him warm since he doesn't have any on his head.

Honestly though, as much as I love summer, I could have gone on and on about winter. Of course we have Thanksgiving and Christmas, but we also get two holiday weekends in January and February that are perfect for ski trips, or just hibernating inside on the couch with a blanket and cup of hot cocoa.

But don't take it from me, pop on over to Erin's blog and check out what other people had to say about their favorite parts of winter.

And stay warm out there kiddos!

Psssst... I'm Over Here!

Hey guys and dolls!

I'm over at Henning Love today, guest posting for Meg, who is actually visiting in Seattle this week for her brother's graduation. Please take a moment to pop over and say hi!

The Emerald City... Love!

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend celebrating all the dads and grads.
Happy Monday!
