Restaurant Review: Hills Resort

First Stew and I had to try the seesaw outside...
seriously, when is the last time you saw a seesaw?!
For our last night at Priest Lake we took the boat over to Hills Resort for dinner. This place is so amazing! Nestled in the majestic wilderness of North Idaho, it's exactly like Kellerman's Resort in Dirty Dancing.

The resort and restaurant have been recognized nationally for their excellence, and we definitely found out why. Many of the family recipes have been featured in national cookbooks, and some of the specialties include Baby Back Ribs of Pork, Oysters Escondida, Margarita Shrimp, and Huckleberry Pie.

We ate in the dining room overlooking the beautiful scenery of Priest Lake.

King Crab cakes topped with avocado,
Tobikko caviar, Syracha and wasabi vinaigrette.
Russ & Patty had us try these and they were seriously
the best crab cakes I have ever eaten!

Stew got the Hickory Burger with smoked bacon, cheddar cheese
and homemade barbeque sauce with fries and of course he loved it.

Pan-seared veal medallions sauteed in a lemon Thyme
pan sauce, served with potato gnocchi.
This was my first time ever having veal and I absolutely loved it.

Ready to head back in the boat. It was such a fun way to end our trip,
even though we were sad to be leaving the next morning.

Goodnight!

We'll definitely be returning to Hills Resort the next time we're at Priest Lake...

  1. Looks like a great meal. What was the best part, the food or the teeter totter? :)

  2. Ha ha... I think they were pretty equal, except we didn't spend much time on the teeter totter because we were afraid it was going to snap in half... I don't think they are made for adults!!
