A Weekend Getaway & Happy Birthday Dad!

Well hello there, friends! I've missed you.

But after blogging every single day in May, I just needed a second there to take a break and re-group. And in the meantime, we took a little family trip over to Port Townsend to celebrate my dear old Dad's birthday. Here are a few highlights from the weekend...

I didn't do a super stellar job at taking pictures, but as I said, I needed a break from documenting stuff and I just wanted to enjoy the weekend.

Port Townsend is one of my very favorite places. Partly because it's an awesome, eclectic beach town, but mostly because it's filled with childhood memories for me. I love going there now, as an adult, to spend quality time with our family, especially my cousins who I don't see often enough. And the Pacific Northwest somehow decided to cooperate and give us semi-decent weather.

Yay, spring! I knew you would arrive eventually.

  3. How fun! I've always loved Port Townsend...such a cute little coastal town. My grandparents used to live on Whidbey Island and we often would take a ferry from there...so many good memories. Glad you had a good time!

  9. Love this! I am always looking for little getaways outside of Seattle. Would you recommend this for a day trip or does it need an overnight stay?

Must try the bubblegum ice cream!
